About the material:
Water is an inorganic compound. It is vital for all known forms of life. Water  covers about 71% of Earth surface.
About the idea and process:
When working on set design for  the performance "Wasted" by Teatro istorijos I had a challenging task to create ice shapes rapresenting  a melting glacier. Those shapes required to be easily replicated before each performance in a very short amount of time. As  performance is produced to be shown in different type of spaces and locations, I needed to find a solution that doesn't depend on local facilities as a presence of refrigerator.
After multiple experiments I came up with idea to use ice cubes as a primary material. Ice cubes can be prepared  in advance using  icecubes molds and then transported on location in cooler bag. When preparing the show on site, ice cubes are being crushed with a manual ice crushing machine, obtaining a substance that looks like snow which then goes in to the custom made molds from fabric. After five minutes of assestment time , it’spossible to take thise new ice shapes of the molds. They are ready for the show.

Availability
Ice cubes are easy to make or available to buy in most supermarkets
